Chapter 24

*Rain* (Ground Zero)

If I had to say I wasn’t nervous that would be a complete understatement. But a bitch had to do what a bitch had to do. As I exited my car at exactly 11:59 pm dressed in all black jeans with my all black hoodie. I tiptoed up to the front of the warehouses sliding door. I noticed it was cracked open just enough to slide my small frame in. I looked back at my car and gave my sisters girlfriend Jade a head nod letting her know I was going in. I had told her earlier that day Storm had got kidnapped. And in no time Jade made that 2 hour and 30 minute drive down here. She was ready and willing to do whatever. I was so surprised that Jade had no fear in her eyes, all I saw there was the love she has for my twin. Although she works for an insurance company, Jade told me she's no stranger to the street life.

I withdrew my 9 millimeter from my waist as I stepped into the lit up warehouse. I let my gun lead the way for me, I heard voices. I saw another door that was small like an apartment door. It connected to the room where I heard the voices coming from, with caution I approached the door. I was afraid only for my unborn child's life. In the past when I put myself in harms way I didn't care to much about what happened but now I have something to lose. Not just my twin but also my child's life. I crouched down behind a pile of wood pallets. As I peeped around the corner I could see into the next room where my sister was lying half naked on the table. My blood boiled as i counted three men. I could tell by the braids one was Zack, the second guy was all muscular, that had to be Gauge. The third guy was kinda short and chubby, I couldn't quite make out who he was. It was time to put my plan in play, I prayed that Storm wasn't already dead. I've been calling my Godfather all day but I couldn't reach him when I needed him the most. I had left countless messages on his voice mail. I took my cell phone out my pocket and pressed send on my keypad sending a message saying *NOW* to my decoy outside. Less then thirteen seconds later Jade drove my car right into the sliding doors.

Rushing out of the other room came Zack, pistol in his hand busting shots at my car. Jade crawled out of the drivers side staying on the ground trying not to get hit. I now realized that my child's father wanted me dead, no ifs ands or buts about it. I did what I didn't want to do, I let off two shots into Zacks right side. He fell on to the cold concrete floor clutching his right set of ribs.
